Handcrafted Sterling Silver cap-set Danburite Crystal pendant measuring approximately 1.75 inches long, including bale.
Danburite has a crystalline mineral similar to topaz with a high refractive index that makes it incredibly sparkly. Danburite is generally colorless, but can sometimes have a yellow, brown or even pink hue.
Danburite is named for its first discovery in 1839 in Danbury, Connecticut. The deposits in Danbury are inaccessible this day, leaving Mexico as the top source for Danburite crystals, though they can also be found in Japan and Madagascar.
Each Danburite Crystal is naturally exceptional and will differ slightly in shape and color, however, each pendant will appear similar to the display images, and all crystals are excellent. The transparent, clear crystals we use for these pendants are the most rare form of danburite.
