    just-arrived York: The Century Company, 1894. July 30, 1894. First Edition, The Century Series, People's Pictorial Edition, part XIX. Paperback format, about 13½-inches wide x 11-inches high, 16 pages. Illustrations throughout. Condition: First cover of paper binding detached (chipped and pieces missing from extremities, short tears, some old soiling, faint age toning), back cover missing. Internally: Some chips, tears, old damp spots and soiling, creases, corner piece missing (not affecting text). Pages are separating (pulling away) from gutter. However, text is clear, incredibly readable, and the illustrations are clean and clear. Overall Good. Very old and fragile, and certainly collectible. This antiquarian publication completely describes the colored division, the duel between the Alabama and the Kearsarge, and Sherman's march from Atlanta through Georgia and the Carolinas.
