The plates are each made of 304 stainless steel, rugged and sturdy. The images transfer easily and cleanly. All of the plates have had the blue protective film removed, but they have also been stored in the protective covered sleeves of the carrying case since purchased. They have been well protected. None of the plates have any scratches or damage noted. This listing is for the blue carrying case, all 15 stainless steel nail stencils and 2 scrapers.
