About Takashima Chijimi: Takashima Chijimi has been produced in Takashima City, located in the northwest of Shiga Prefecture, near Lake Biwa, since the Tenmei era of the Edo period. This tradition has been passed down to this day as chijimi, crepe, and yanagi (crepe) textiles. The exceptional "shibo" (unevenness) of the fabric reduces the contact area with the skin, providing a cool and relaxing feel. It is highly absorbent and is a refreshing material suitable for the humid climate of Japan.
This fabric is generally suitable for the spring and summer seasons. The color is beige. Made in Japan.
