Slate Digital VRS8 Audio Recording Interface (Single)
Ive got two VRS8 interfaces and looking to sell one of them, unless you’re interested in both, I’m open to offers. The VRS8 is equipped with ultra-premium components, rivaling mastering converters and interfaces costing much more, at the expense of some features like digital IO, on-board DSP chips, and LED meters on the front panel, etc. It’s a no-nonsense unit that is outstanding for some, but may not please everyone. For me it was exactly what I needed but unfortunately the lack of Apple silicon support is forcing me to look for something else. ** You will need an intel equipped Mac or PC with Thunderbolt or PCIe to use the VRS8. I still use with mine with my old 2010 Mac Pro 5.1 and it works wonderfully and sounds fantastic. VRS8 has 8 ultra-linear preamps, designed by API’s Paul Wolf. 2 active JFET DI’s for instruments, and 2 high power headphone amps. There are 8 balanced Line Outs for incorporating outboard gear, MIDI In/Out, and a Word Clock connections.
