Analytical journalism training took place in Chernihiv

Within two days, Chernihiv journalists improved their knowledge and skills in analytical journalism within the framework of the project “Supporting Analytical Journalism for Improving the Liability of People’s Deputies”, implemented by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies with the support of National Endowment For Democracy. The former correspondent, Irina Solomko, was the trainer.

“What is an analytical journalist, what is its importance for quality journalism, as a whole for the development of society and efficiency of government?” Also on the first day the coach spoke about the means of analysis of reality in analytical journalism, after which all present had the opportunity to put them in practice.

On Sunday, August 18, journalists spoke about analytical interviews, features of its preparation, methodology and secrets of interviewing. A separate session “Column (Replica) and Information and Analytical Blogs” The coach allocated the most time, since this topic directly corresponds to the goal of the project.

A mini-lecture on writing an analytical article and practical work on its creation-the last block, which worked as project participants.

We will remind, the training on analytical journalism – the second event of the training session, which is carried out within the framework of the project “Supporting analytical journalism to increase the responsibility of MPs”.
