About the Foundation

“Polissya Foundation for International and Regional Studies” was established and registered in 2004 as a non-governmental analytical center. The founders of the Foundation were scientists, civil servants and teachers of higher educational institutions of Chernihiv.

The portfolio of the Polissya Foundation consists of dozens of implemented projects, conducted sociological research, prepared analytical materials, organized expert events.

Over the years of its existence, thanks to its active activity, the Foundation has become known in the region, Ukraine and abroad.

Among the main areas of activity:

– independent sociological research and forecasting of trends in the development of political, social and economic systems, development of recommendations for their reform;

– increasing public activity of different segments of the population, organizing interaction between the media, the public sector and state authorities;

– training specialists who possess the tools of analysis, forecasting, strategic planning and monitoring of political and socio-economic development.

Purpose

The purpose of the Foundation’s creation and activities is to promote the formation of civil society through intellectual and informational support for the processes of democratic transformations and economic reforms in Ukraine, its integration into pan-European structures, and the practical implementation of international, national, regional and local programs aimed at improving the socio-economic situation and satisfying and protecting its legitimate socio-economic and creative interests.
