Experience of the Visegrad Group for the Dnipro Euroregion


Ukrainian and Belarusian delegates, representatives of non -governmental organizations and state structures, visited the countries of the Visegrad Group (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland) between April 21 and April 29. The training tour was held within the framework of the European experience of development of communication strategy within the framework of Euroregions, which is implemented by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies in Partnership with the Center for European Cooperation with the Financial Support of the International Visegrad Fund.

The current state of the Hungarian-Ukrainian and Hungarian-Belarussian relatives in the context of economic cooperation was discussed by the participants of the meeting in Budapest, having attended the Ministry of National Economy of the Hungarian Republic.

Also, as part of this visit, representatives of the European Cooperation Department introduced participants to the specific functioning of Euroregions in Europe. Particular attention was paid to the study of the experience of representation of the Ukrainian border territories that are part of the Dniester Euroregion.

In addition, possible ways of establishing cooperation were sought by participants of the project event within the walls of the International Center for Democratic Transformations (Budapest).

In the border town of Eger (Hungary) a meeting with the Executive Director of the Carpathian Foundation, which referred to the development of the specified location in the context of the organization as part of the Euroregion as a whole.

The meeting with representatives of the International Visegrad Fund was held on April 24 in Bratislava. Participants of the tour got acquainted with the areas of work of the organization in which they were interested. Also during the discussion the process of implementation of this project was discussed.

In addition, within the framework of the project event, participants visited the foreign ministries of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as local administrations of Bratislava and Wroclaw. They met with members of the board of such foundations as the Institute of Stability and Development (Czech Republic) and the Center for the Slovak Foreign Ministry Association.
