Tax reform at the local level-opportunities and threats “

On August 15, 2012 at 12:00 in the Pure Policy Expert Club, which at Chernihiv, ul. Polubotok, 6-A, will take place the final press conference “Tax reform at the local level-opportunities and threats” within the framework of the project “Local taxes: public monitoring of the impact of tax reform on the financial independence of local budgets”. The press conference is organized by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research. The event is supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.

During the event, the President of the Polissya Foundation Gennady Maxak will tell about the role of a project in the field of tax policy at the local level. Project manager Maxim Koryavets will present design results and basic design achievements. Project expert Maxim Zabashtansky will give a general assessment of the process of implementation of tax reform in the Chernihiv region and characterizes the main obstacles to the improvement of tax legislation.

Representatives of the media and all interested persons are invited to participate in the event.

The purpose of the project “Local Taxes: Public Monitoring of the Impact of Tax Reform on the Financial Independence of Local Budgets”, carried out by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies with the support of the program of strengthening the influence of the Civil Society of the International Renaissance Foundation, is to assess the impact of tax reform in Ukraine on the role of local taxes.
