Project “Local Taxes: Public Monitoring of the Impact of Tax Reform on Financial Independence

In the course of implementation of the project “Local taxes: public monitoring of the impact of tax reform on the financial independence of local budgets”, which is implemented Chernihiv and the role of local taxation in ensuring the financial independence of local budgets.

6 employees of financial units of the authorities and 6 deputies of local councils at three levels were selected to participate in the survey. These are representatives of Chernihiv city council, Chernihiv district council, Chernihiv district state administration, Chernihiv regional council, Chernihiv regional state administration.

Intrivers was held during February 2012.

The purpose of the project “Local Taxes: Public Monitoring of the Impact of Tax Reform on the Financial Independence of Local Budgets”, carried out by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies with the support of the program of strengthening the influence of the Civil Society of the International Renaissance Foundation, is to assess the impact of tax reform in Ukraine on the role of local taxes.
