Dynamics of electoral moods of Chernihiv: Who do we believe who we vote for?

At the end of September Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research Another sociological study was conducted in order to determine the political preferences, electoral sentiment of the residents of Chernihiv, their dynamics and characteristics. An interview was interviewed by 1100 respondents, taking into account the age-age proportions of the population in the city. The theoretical sample error without taking into account the design effect is 3%.

During the study, considerable attention was paid to the study of Chernihiv’s trust in regional and city officials. This was prompted by more frequent attempts to involve local self -government bodies to express distrust of individual officials at both the city and region level.

According to the results of the survey it was found out that the highest level of trust (The amount of answers “I fully trust” and “I rather trust”) Has Mayor Alexander Sokolov (30.9%). No other figure has received a percentage of trust greater than 10%.

The most “recognizable” persons in the city There is a mayor Alexander Sokolov (The share of the answers “I don’t know such” – 2.3%), the chairman of the regional council Natalia Romanova (17.7%) and the head of the regional state administration Vladimir Khomenko (25.0%). The least known Residents of Chernihiv There is a deputy mayor Mykola Litvinov (43.4% of the answers “I don’t know this”).

At the same time, the respondents’ answers during the September survey indicated significant activation of electoral expectations. Compared to the August survey of the Polissya Fund with a similar method of sampling, the number of those who have not determined significantly decreased.

In general, if the city elections took place in the coming Sunday, the preferences of Chernihiv would be distributed as follows:

So, if the mayor’s elections took place next Sunday, then most likely O. Sokolov would win the victoryFor which 30.2% of respondents are now ready to vote. O. Savchenko would take the second place with 16.8% of the vote, and the third (4.2%) was S. Knurenko.

The three leaders of the virtual “mayor” races have changed compared to the August survey, however, the dynamics of each of the potential candidates are very noticeable.

There were some changes in the opinion of Chernihiv on the future representation of political parties and public blocs in the Chernihiv City Council. Yes, if you had to choose the deputies to the city government, then the results of the will would probably be as follows:

So, if the elections to the Chernihiv City Council were held today, the three percent barrier would be overcome:

  • Yulia Tymoshenko’s block (26.0%);
  • Party of Regions (15.7%);
  • The Chernihiv Block! (7.9%);
  • Lytvyn’s block (6.6%);
  • KPU (5.1% – within the error);
  • Our Ukraine-National Self-Defense Bloc (4.9% – within the error).

Subject to the voting of the residents of Chernihiv for the political representation in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in general, the following results would be obtained in Chernihiv:

If the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took place next Sunday, the following political forces would win in the Chernihiv region:

  1. Yulia Tymoshenko’s block (27.7%);
  2. Party of Regions (18.9%);
