UN representatives asked the expert’s opinion on the election
Representatives of the United Nations Political Nations Department visited Chernihiv. In particular, Ruth Sigalus and Philon Morar visited the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies to communicate with his Vice President Yevgeny Romanenko.
Since Yevgeny Romanenko is the coordinator of the election programs of the OPORA Civic Network in the Chernihiv region, the guests were interested in his personal assessment of the election campaign in the 205th constituency and expectations for the course of local elections based on previous experience. Thus, according to the expert, impunity for violation of electoral legislation in the fall will give rise to their larger numbers. Eugene also believes that people do not potentially against bribery, and this, in turn, is used by candidates. In addition, in the presence of respectable guests, it was voiced that the majority component of the election process creates temptation for bribery, so in our realities it must be abolished.
