Public panel discussion “Let’s deal with garbage: European experience from northern regions of Ukraine”
We invite you to participate in the panel discussion on “Let’s deal with garbage: European experience from the northern regions of Ukraine”, which will take place on January 16, 2020 in Chernihiv.
The panel discussion is carried out within the framework of a series of regional events organized by the Institute of European Policy (Berlin:http://iep-berlin.de/) and EU Public School of Effective Practices (CISEP:http://cisep.eu/en/). The series of measures is aimed at discussing local challenges on the way of fulfilling the Association Agreement with the EU and the full and comprehensive free trade area in the broad context of civil society.
The organizer of the event in Chernihiv is one of the founders of CISEP – the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research (https://pfirs.org/).
The purpose of this panel discussion is to discuss the current state of regional implementation of the Association Agreement in the field of waste management, identification of challenges in this area, outline possible directions and specific measures to overcome them, taking into account the best practices.
The panel discussion will be discussed:
1) environmental challenges (general issues);
2) strategy, planning and implementation of waste management measures;
3) sorting and processing of garbage;
4) Waste management culture / zero waste.
