1st training for young analysts from northern regions

On August 21-22, 2009, a training “Development of Analytical Activity” was conducted in Chernihiv Fund of International and Regional Studies. This event became the first in the framework of the project “Increasing public activity at the regional level through the development of youth analytical activity”, which is carried out with the support of the National Democracy Development Fund (NED).

On the basis of the submitted competitions for participation in the training, 15 young analysts from Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy regions were selected. The coaches of the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research and Youth Information Center have considered the topics: “Fundamentals of Civil Society”, “Leadership”, “Fundamentals of Studies”, “Analytical Activity in Journalism”.

The analysis of the evaluation questionnaires showed that the participants of the training increased their ability to conduct analytical research and express their desire to participate in the Analytics School, which will be conducted by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies on September 25-29.
