Cooperation of power and public at the local level for the sake of community development
On March 11-13, 20111, the Laboratory of Legislative Initiatives (Kyiv) and the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies (Chernihiv) will conduct an on-site training “Cooperation of government and public at the local level for the sake of community development”.
The training is conducted within the framework of the project “Increasing the cooperation of the authorities and the public at the local level for the sake of community development”, which is implemented by the laboratory of legislative initiatives with the support of the program of the Matthewers of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The regional partner of the project in the Chernihiv region is the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research.
The purpose of the training is to identify tools to conduct joint effective campaigns at the local level for local NGOs and the authorities, as well as the practical testing of acquired knowledge by preparing joint project proposals, the implementation of which is intended to promote community development.
The following questions will be worked out during the training:
– conceptual foundations of the policy production process;
– project proposal as the basis of cooperation of power and civil society;
– understanding of the problem in politics;
– influence as the purpose of policy;
– Development in cooperation;
– conditions of policy implementation;
– practical dimension of cooperation;
– information support of politics;
– monitoring and evaluation of policy implementation.
As a result of the training, participants will have the opportunity to prepare proposals of projects that will be implemented in the cooperation of local authorities and NGOs and aimed at developing the community. The subject of project proposals will be determined by the participants independently.
