“European integration economic progress index: assessment of economic reforms in the regions of Ukraine on the way to the introduction of a free trade area with the EU”

The implementation of the project under this name was started by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research. The project is implemented within the framework of the project of the Institute of Economic Research and Political Consultations (http://www.ier.com.ua/en) “Promotion of Reforms to Regions” with the assistance of the European Union (http://ec.europa.eu/europeaid).

The project envisages the study of trends of economic development of all regions of Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and the introduction of an in-depth and comprehensive free trade zone with the EU in the country during the period 2014-2016 using the integral Index of the European Integration.
According to the project schedule, work is currently being carried out to improve the methodology of calculation of the IEEP with the participation of the Association of Regional Analytical Centers, whose representatives are involved in the study.
In addition, the project manager participated in the EU-Ukraine conference: Relations at uncertainty and rapid changes, which took place on March 2, 2017 in Lviv for experts, EU representatives, media, and project grenarters.
The study will be a continuation of the Fund’s work in the regions in 2015 from the standpoint of their readiness to be included in economic integration with the EU.
