Experts helped to “decipher” the Association Agreement in Chernihiv
Within the framework of the Public School of Effective EU practices, seminars on the foundations of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU for public activists from 8 regions have started in Chernihiv. Thus, on July 10-13, 2017, 23 participants who took place the previous competition took part in workshops from domestic and foreign experts. The Institute of European Policy (Berlin) and the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies (Chernihiv) were organized. Within the framework of the Public School of Effective EU practices, seminars on the foundations of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU for public activists from 8 regions have started in Chernihiv. Thus, on July 10-13, 2017, 23 participants who took place the previous competition took part in workshops from domestic and foreign experts. The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU is not easy and multifaceted. To work it, starting with myths and ending with facts, aimed at the coaches and participants of the school. Arguments in favor of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, myths and anti-myths on the process of European integration and Association of Ukraine, figures and facts, opportunities and threats to Ukraine’s trade with the EU and third parties-all this was discussed during seminars. Participants learned and systematic approach to reading individual sections of UA/PVZVT, got acquainted with its purpose, structure, logic.
The practical component of the workshop series was the “Brainstorming” on the topic of public participation in European integration and the process of implementation of UA/PVZVT.
Similar starting seminars were also held on July 3-6 in Lviv and Dnipro.
Since 2017, CISEP will have three levels (stages):
– Level A: Fundamentals of UA/PVZVT: About the process of implementation of UA/PVZVT and ways to support this process by civil society
– Level B: specialization in specific sections of UA/PVZWT
– Level C: Training Program for Coaches
Reference:CISEP Public School of Effective Practices is a modular curriculum for active citizens and agents of change in Ukraine. It creates a network of specialists in the field of the Association Agreement of Ukraine with the EU (UA) and in -depth and comprehensive free trade (PVZVT) zone, which aims to strengthen the process of European integration of Ukraine.
Since 2015, 17 seminars dedicated to the UA with the EU and the management of the EU project, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odessa and Kiev have been organized within the framework of CISEP. Facilitators and experts in civil society and authorities of Ukraine, EU member states and associate members were involved in all trainings. More than 75 CISEP graduates are already forming a pool of public activists involved in monitoring and communications on the implementation of UA/PVZVT.
