“Financial support of NGOs – new rules of game or outdated approaches?”

On June 19, 2015, at 12.00 a press conference of the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research and Public Television will be held. An event called “Financial Support for NGOs – new rules of game or outdated approaches?” It will be held at the Discussion Club “Expert Thought” (6a Polubotok St.).

This press conference will start the project “Transparent budget financing of Chernihiv public organizations-the way to strengthen their capacity”, which contains two main components-analytical and advocacy. The first will monitor the transparency and integrity of the budget process in a number of cities of Ukraine, including in Chernihiv. In turn, the advocacy campaign in our city will be an expert evaluation of the city program of support of public organizations and the implementation of new approaches to the financial support of civil society in the city of Chernihiv.

This project is part of the two -year initiative “Civil Society and Media for Transparent Local Budgets!”, Which is implemented by the Odessa Regional Organization “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” with expert support of the Open Society Foundation.
