Gennady Maxak spoke during the Summer School “Safety in Danger”

On June 24-26, 2015, a summer school “Safety in danger” was held in Kyiv, organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the representation of the Fund. Friedrich Ebert in Ukraine. The speaker, among others, was made during the first day Gennady Maxak, President of the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research.

The program of the Summer School provides for two thematic blocks on the current challenges and threats facing the state of Ukraine, as well as new security challenges for international actors outside Ukraine, caused by political and social transformations that are intended to influence or change the global world order.

The summer school was built both on the use of traditional educational elements, including speeches and lectures of well -known international and domestic experts, scientists, experts in the field of international security in its modern sense, as well as the use of the latest interactive teaching methods.

The purpose of the summer school was:

– to promote detailed discussion of priorities of Ukraine’s security existence;

– to help participants understand the difficult security situation in the world;

– to acquaint the participants with possible ways of counteracting or neutralizing threats in order to protect the interests of the Ukrainian state;

– to involve young experts and analysts in the formation of political thought through the discussion of modern challenges and threats arising from international actors.
