According to the results of a study conducted in May-June 2015, most respondents are dissatisfied with the results of the Revolution of Dignity in Chernihiv, convinced of the corruption of the city authorities, are negative about the possibility of Alexander Sokolov again to run for the post of mayor, in their own political preference. It should be noted that most Chernihivs have not yet decided on their political preferences.

The sociological survey was conducted by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies on the request of LLC “Liga” in Chernihiv.

Answering questions about the existence of corruption in the Chernihiv city authorities, the lion’s share of the respondents believes that there are such manifestations. At the same time, a small part of them does not see the actions of the city authorities of the corruption component.

Also, most of the respondents are dissatisfied with the results of the Dignity Revolution in Chernihiv, despite the fact that about a quarter of them were unable to decide. Only 13.1% of respondents responded “no” or “so” or “no” and “rather than” – 60.6% of respondents.

The Chernihiv interviewees, for the most part, do not see Alexander Sokolov in the mayor’s chair and believe that he should not be chatting this year. The total number of answers “exactly” and “rather yes” – 25.9%, and “rather no” and “exactly no” – 61.7%.

And among the answers to the participation in the election race, Vladislav Atroshenko, given the recent statement of the latter about the opportunity to run for the position of mayor, positive dynamics outweighs the negative. At the same time, about a quarter of the respondents was difficult to answer the question.

A total of “accurately positive” and “more positive” – 43%; “Rather negative” and “accurately negative” – 31.3%. 25.7% of respondents were not determined.

The first three favorite, in which, according to the respondents, they would cast their vote in the nearest election of the mayor are Vladislav Atroshenko, Alexander Sokolov and Valery Dirny.

Most of the respondents were unable to mention their majority representative in the City Council, but a fifth of the respondents could answer this question.

The lion’s share of the respondents did not decide on their own political preferences in the context of voting for the party in the next elections to the city council. However, Petro Poroshenko’s block is leading in this section.
