Public activists have launched a large -scale survey of local elections


The local elections will be closely monitored by the public. In the Chernihiv region, on September 11, a campaign of public observation of elections to local authorities started.

Public monitoring organizer – OPORA Civic Network – Non -Governmental, Non -Party and Financial -Independent Network of Civic Activists, which has considerable experience in observation of election campaigns.
Over the next fifty days, observers will follow the democracy, legality and transparency of the electoral process in all regions of the country, including in Chernihiv region.
“Our goal is an uninvolved estimate of the electoral process,” says a regional coordinator in Chernihiv region Yevgeny Romanenko – “Six long -term observers will be held in Chernihiv region, as well as 49 short -term observers who will work directly on the election day”
In total, about two hundred observers have already been attracted to Ukraine in Ukraine and another 1,500 activists will be watched by the voting on October 31.
In addition to the overall process of observing the election campaign, the Activists will analyze the election programs and promises of candidates, and will later inform the society about their implementation.
Throughout the election campaign, the OPORA GM will promptly inform media representatives of all detection of violations that will record public observers.
