Public discussion of election reform in Ukraine. Press AnnS
November 14, 2011 from 10:00 to 15:00 in Chernihiv in the conference hall of the hotel-tourist complex “Pidssanyansky” at ul. Shevchenko, 99-A will take place a public discussion of election reform in Ukraine.
The purpose of the project “Organization of broad and open public discussion of issues of improvement of electoral legislation in Ukraine” is to attract the widest range of civil society experts, as well as representatives of all stakeholders in the process of reforming electoral legislation, creating conditions for establishing effective dialogue between legislators, public experts, elections.
Topics for discussion:
- Codification of electoral legislation
- Electoral systems for national and local elections
- The order of formation and status of election commissions and members of commissions
- Nomination and registration of candidates
- Majority system and work of deputies in districts
- Election observation
Representatives of the authorities and local self -government, political parties, civic organizations and media, members of election commissions, election experts are invited to participate in the event.

- Andriy Kohut (software coordinator of the laboratory of legislative initiatives);
- Serhiy Solomakha (Deputy Head of Chernihiv Regional Organization of the Ukrainian People’s Party, journalist of the All -Ukrainian weekly newspaper “Siverschyna”);
- Pavel Pushchenko (Head of the Chernihiv Educational Center “Initiative”).
