“Regional Development Strategies of Ukraine: Monitoring of Development and Challenges of Implementation” – International Conference will be held in Kiev
On February 20-21, 2015, the International Conference “Strategies of Regional Development of Ukraine: Monitoring and Challenges of Implementation” will be held at the Rus Accord Hored (Hospitalna St., Kyiv). The event is conducted by the Association of Regional Analytical Centers, the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies (Chernihiv), Institute of Civil Society (Kyiv), All -Ukrainian Association regional development. ” The conference will be held with the support of the European Union and the Swiss-Ukrainian Project on Supporting Decentralization in Ukraine (DESPRO), as well as the assistance of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.
As part of the event tomorrow, February 20, there will be three panel discussions on the implementation of regional policy in the context of new challenges, as well as discussing the State Regional Development Strategy 2020 and regional development strategies. Participants include representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, experts of the Association of Regional Analytical Centers, representatives of regional state administrations and deputies of local councils.
The second day will discuss the European experience of implementing the strategic advantages of regions for Ukraine, during which foreign experts will be discussed.

The event is conducted within the framework of the project “Regional Policy in Ukraine: Public Monitoring of Regional Development Strategies”, which is implemented by the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies (Chernihiv) in partnership with the Association Soviets, the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine with the support of the European Union and the Swiss-Ukrainian Project for Decentralization in Ukraine (DESPRO).
