Synergy of Cross -Border Cooperation Programs and Regional Development Strategies in Ukraine in Action

On August 22-23, a methodological training was held within the framework of the project “Synergy of Cross-Border Cooperation Programs and Regional Development Strategies in Ukraine-a window of opportunity for border areas”.

In the course of the training event, the experts of the project Yuri Vdovenko and Yevgeny Romanenko in detail were acquainted with participants, representatives of the Association of Regional Analytical Centers, with the methodology of conducting a study on determining the degree of synergy between programs of cross-border cooperation and strategies of regional development Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Odessa regions.
Regional parters from the border regions of Ukraine have been given knowledge to identify problems and develop recommendations on the maximum use of the potential of the EU cross -border and territorial cooperation programs within the implementation of regional development strategies of the country’s regional development strategies. This is, in particular, the purpose of the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research, which is implemented with the assistance of the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the Public Synergy project.
The results of the study will be presented in the form of Policypaper with certain recommendations of the main stakeholders, including during the regional round tables and the final All -Ukrainian Conference.
