The state of legislative and regulatory support of cross -border cooperation
On April 7-8, 2010, the International Conference “Status of Legislative and Regulatory Support of Cross-Border Cooperation” was held in Kyiv. Participants of the conference were representatives of 7 countries – Ukraine, the Netherlands, Hungary, Moldova, Germany, Poland and Romania. From the Ukrainian side, the participants were People’s Deputies of Ukraine, government officials, representatives of public organizations, deputies of regional councils, experts and scientists. The event was attended by the Vice President of the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies, member of the Council of the Dnipro Euroregion Yuri Vdovenko.
The participants of the conference discussed the practical and theoretical aspects of the implementation of state measures to support cross -border cooperation, as well as the best practices of implemented projects.
In particular, the issue of Ukraine’s participation in international documents on cross -border cooperation, legislative prospects of cross -border cooperation, new financial instruments in its development, etc. is considered.
