The ultimate conference “Important Solutions is with a Cold Chairman. Revily information on EU and NATO for citizens of Ukraine”


On November 13, 2009, the final conference was held in Kyiv within the framework of the project “Important decisions – with a cold head. Recierable information on the subject of EU and NATO for citizens of Ukraine. “

The project was implemented jointly by the Association “Center for European Cooperation” (Poland) and a public organization“Polissya Fund of International and Regional Research” (Ukraine) with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

Participants of the project, winners of the journalistic competition were invited to participate in the event.

The official part of the conference was attended by Marchin Kozhil, NATO Head in Ukraine and Serhiy Tereshko, Chief Specialist of the Euro -Atlantic Integration Department of the Coordination Bureau of the European and Euro -Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Experts spoke about the Polish experience of joining the North Atlantic Alliance and the possibility of its adaptation to Ukrainian realities.

After communicating with experts, Gennady Maxak, the project coordinator in Ukraine reminded the participants of the project mission. Thus, the purpose of the project organizers was to increase the level of awareness of the Ukrainian and NATO -NATO international institutions, the peculiarities of building relations of Ukraine with the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance, the use of Poland’s experience in accelerating the rate of European and Euro -Atlantic integration of Ukraine by improving the Ukrainian and qualitative indicators of high -quality indicators.

The basic event in the framework of the project was the competition among Ukrainian journalists for the best information material in the media on the topic of the European Union and NATO.

The competition consisted of two stages. In the first stage of the competition, 18 winners were selected, the materials of which were recognized as the best from the point of mind of compliance with the subject matter, professionalism of writing the material, as well as the number of final recipients of the material – circulation. A total of 70 competitive materials were sent to the competition.

In early August 2009, a group of winners visited the Polish cities of Krakow, Wroclaw and Derzhonyev as part of a study visit, where during meetings with official officials, public experts, Polish journalists, she had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of EU and NATO activities, and the features of the Polish. The second stage of the competition involved the evaluation of materials that were made by participants on the basis of information received during a training visit. According to the results of Ukrainian participants in Poland, 47 information products (articles in newspapers, electronic information portals, videos and programs, radio programs) were made during August-November. The competitive jury, which included representatives of Polish non -governmental organizations, academic institutions and state institutions, noted the high level of developed materials, their meaningful filling. The average indicator of information materials per participant is 2.6 materials, which qualitatively distinguishes this project from similar projects of past years.

At the same time, among the participants the greatest activity was found:

1) Tamara Alexiuk,Editor -in -chief of the Polesie newspaper, Rivne region;

2)Tatiana Bakotska,editor of the regional radio of the Nikolaev regional and radio company, Mykolaiv;

3) Inna Borisova,Chief editor of the newspaper “cool about everything”, Lviv;

4) Alla Humeniuk,responsible secretary of the editorial office of the Yarmolynets district newspaper “Forward”, Khmelnytsky region;

5)Lyudmila Dolzhenko, Head of the department of information and journalistic programs of Zaporizhzhya Regional Radio, Zaporizhzhia;

6)Tatiana Kozyreva, Journalist of the News Program “One day” TV channel “K1” (video operator Vadim Revun), Kyiv;

7)Nadiya rod, Deputy Editor of KP “New Chernihiv TV Agency” (video operator Sergey Butko), Chernihiv.

All participants were awarded the diplomas of the winners of the competition, as well as prizes from Polish partners and municipalities of cities, where Ukrainian journalists visited during a study visit to Poland.
