Youth for the Constitution: The fifth meeting was held for Chernihiv schoolchildren
What is a constitution? What are the features of the basic law of the state? What is its main meaning and practical importance? These and other questions were answered by students of educational institutions in Chernihiv.
On December 5, a regular meeting was held on the basis of Chernihiv Training and Rehabilitation Center No. 2 dedicated to fundamental rights and responsibilities of the person and the citizen, which are recorded in the main document of the country.
A series of events organized by the International Center for Perspective Research in Partnership with the Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the project “Use of World Expert Experience and Public Consultations in the Process of Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine”.
During the lecture, the students of the College No. 11, Lyceum No. 22 and the Training and Rehabilitation Center # 2 deepened their knowledge of the role of the citizen, his rights and obligations, the existing state system and the importance of everyone’s participation in the constitutional process. Thanks to videos and information booklets, students have received an idea of the principles of formation of the main document of the country, the history of the creation of the Constitution of Ukraine, how the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens and many other aspects are ensured.
The next meeting will be held on December 7 for students of the Nizhyn Agrotechnical Institute of the National University of Bioresources and Environmental Management of Ukraine in Nizhyn, Chernihiv Oblast.
