Democratic Development Index of Ukraine – 2016

The calculation of the indicator “Democratic Development Index of the regions of Ukraine” was performed within the framework of the project “Promoting reforms and development of accountability in the regions of Ukraine”, which was implemented by the NGO “Polissya Fund of International and Regional Studies” (Chernihiv) in cooperation with the Association of Regional Analytical Centers with the Support of National.
The purpose of the project is to assess the level of democratic development and democratic transformations in the regions of Ukraine in the process of implementing reforms and to promote the improvement of regional policy through the proposal of alternative to the official point of view of priorities for the development of regions. Within the framework of the project methodology was developed, regional partners were training and during November 2016 – January 2017 research was completed in 24 regions of Ukraine with the exception of temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
