The EU has allocated 120,000 euros for the training of specialists in energy service contracts in Ukraine
In 2015, the ENPC-INTRANS project began in Ukraine, aimed at developing the potential for the implementation of energy service contracts at the municipal level. The project is funded by the EU under the Horizon 2020 program and covers 9 European countries. In Ukraine, about 300 energy service professionals will be trained for two years.
An energy service contract is an important tool for efficient use of energy in social objects. It offers solving the problem that municipalities face: how to thermo -modernization of buildings when city budgets are too small. This effective mechanism should be more widely used in Ukraine. Municipalities will be prepared to take an active part in the implementation of models of energy service contract and will be able to attract investments to improve the energy efficiency of budget buildings and reduce CO2 emissions.
The multinational nature of the project is based on a multi -level procedure. At this stage, 9 partner countries analyze the best practices and examples of energy service contracts at the European level to adapt existing business models in their countries.
The project participants are Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Kea Kaa Climate and Energy Baden-Württemberg GmbH, European Expert Centers in Croatia (Institute of Energy (Institute of Energy) Sources of energy and energy saving), Slovenia (energy agency in Savinjska, Saleska and Koroska regions), Slovakia (E-Code Distance Learning Center), Latvia (Regional Energy Agency of Zemgale), Serbia (Association), Serbia energy efficiency and renewable energy sources Ploiasti-Prahova) and in Ukraine (consulting energy service company Fiat LLC).
